Almighty God we pray for your town of Watford.

We thank you that you love this place.

Give us eyes to see and

ears to hear what you are already doing here.

Release your gifts in us, and warm our hearts,

so that we may work with you in transforming our communities.

Let your Kingdom come in Watford.

Week of Prayer for Watford 5-12th July 2009

Sunday; Watford Churches

…that you will equip, excite and empower your people in this town

so that we can truly represent you to those who don’t know you.

…for your provision for this town, for secure jobs,

for thriving businesses, for daily bread for all who live in this town.

… for children and young people, parents and those involved in parenting,

teachers, school governors, all those who work in schools and colleges.

Help us to make this a town where young people have hope for the future.

…that Watford would be a town of peace and justice.

We pray for our Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill, Area Commander of Police, Jeremy Alford,

those who work in local government, the court,

probation services and those working in and with the Police.

Thursday; Homeless, Marginalised and Lonely
…for the homeless, those with mental health issues,

the housebound and the lonely.

We also ask for strength and support for those who care for them.

Friday; Healing, Wholeness and Health
…for the healing of those who are sick.

For all medical professionals, counsellors, hospital chaplains and carers.

Saturday; Watford Healing on the Streets
…that as people from our churches go out onto the streets

to pray for those they meet our whole town would be healed and made whole.
